Do you tend to follow the same habits all the time? Do you like things done in a particular way, do you like to eat the same types of food all the time, do you follow the same routines for work, your health & wellness, fitness and exercising, your relationships? We can be creatures of habit and get stuck in our comfort zone without even realizing that we are entrenched in a groove doing the same things over and over again.

It starts with what we think and when we dig a little deeper, this can be influenced by what is in our unconscious mind. If we are not conscious or aware of what is buried (limiting thoughts & beliefs and negative emotions due to past traumas or stressors) then we can react instead of responding to change or we might resist change or attempt to avoid it all together instead of simply flowing with it. Additionally we may be tolerating the limitations that our thinking creates without even realizing that this is happening

Here’s something that you can do to switch things up in your life, break out of the limitations and get yourself out of any habits that are not helping you to learn and grow, keeping you fit, healthy and vital etc.

Try out something different!

Be willing to give yourself the opportunity to see what it is like to “try out something else” just like putting on clothing when you go into a store to purchase a new outfit or several new outfits.

If you always do things the same way over and over again and it is not a habit that is serving you and giving you a good outcome then liberate yourself and break the habit with something different.

Schedule in your calendar that you are going to do 3 things differently each day for 30 days. After 30 days you might even enjoy this so much, you’ll make this a habit for life!

If you don’t exercise at all go for a 20-minute walk in your local park or around your neighborhood. Go to a dance class or yoga class, grab a basketball and shoot some hoops. Find an activity to do each day either by yourself, with your partner or with friends that gets you to move.

Conversely if you are always physically active and tend to work a lot, give yourself 30 – 60 minutes each day for rest and recreation, get a massage or give yourself an all over body massage with a good quality oil, read a great book, listen to relaxing music, spend some time in Nature.

If you always eat the same types of food, wake up your palate with different foods and tastes. Try out new recipes, take a look at the cuisine from different countries and cultures and try out things you’ve never tasted before or dishes that arouse your taste buds.

Become a Taste Tester of Life!

Get inspired and add zest and spark back to your life by taking on the role of “tasting life.” Everything that you do in life, sample it as if it was a delicious morsel you were about to take a bite of. Explore it, experiment with different variations or tastes, take time to experience it fully. If you don’t like something, you never have to try it or do it again. However, if you do like something, now you have something else to add to your life to enrich and deepen how you live and in some cases, by doing this it can even improve your overall quality of life.

If you are married or in a relationship, this is a wonderful thing to do for adding more passion and connection back into your relationship and deepening the love. You both get to play, have fun and enjoy each other by having new experiences together.

For business, take a class that interests you or that will expand your knowledge or skillsets.
