The great news is there’s an alternative way of being and operating that supports you in creating the outcomes that you do want.
The alternative is accountability. Holding yourself responsible for your end results/outcomes and making them non-negotiable.
In order to hold yourself accountable you need to be clear on what your end results are.
What specifically do you want to create for yourself? That’s the outcome/end result you want.
Accountability is not beating yourself up, blaming yourself, blaming others or feeling guilty or ashamed about why you haven’t gotten the end result yet.
It’s an opportunity to be honest and see where you’re showing up and where you are not.
Accountability increases your self-awareness about your current situation. What’s obvious about your current reality and your end results? Are you focused on what you want or something you don’t want to happen, something you want to avoid?
Are you focused on what you love, your true heart’s desire or are you resolving the tension of your egoic agenda/the psychological tension?
Accountability is something that you do consistently. It’s not something that you do when the going gets tough or you’re not creating what you want and then you stop because you have the outcome you want or the “appearance of the outcome you want”
Accountability is a consistent habit of empowerment where no matter what is going on, no matter what the outcome is at the end of each day, you get to stop, check in and self-reflect.
This allows you to see daily where you are at, make any course corrections and then celebrate your forward progress.
Growth is one of the most important aspects of being a human being. Growth doesn’t happen without taking the necessary action in one’s life and following through.
We all get triggered each and every day, we have beliefs and have excuses that are running every day. However we can choose to buy into them or we can choose to check in to see what’s coming up for us and refocus on our true end result instead.
Accountability can replace your excuses. This in turn will short circuit you going into your “victim” mode and/or being able to quickly exit it. Accountability perpetuates you being in a “creator” structure or mode where you create what happens in your life.
Here’s what will support accountability:
Intending or expecting your end results each day even if you don’t create them, it doesn’t mean anything. You are holding your end result. Having positive expectations is huge for creating. You are putting the power and energy into the outcome you want.
Self-Awareness – checking in with yourself to see if what’s going on is the truth, the reality and if you are focused on your true end result or not.
Acknowledge, accept and allow that you have excuses and even though they are there, the outcomes and end results that you want are non-negotiable, they are sacrosanct.
Make the outcomes you want non-negotiable. You are going for them no matter what. You are creating them no matter what.
Being accountable and being 100% invested in the end results you want perpetuates a habit of empowerment. It creates momentum and energizes you.
Energy flows where your attention and focus goes. Are you focused on your true end results, what you love or on excuses? Are you stuck in the status quo of how you perceive your reality based on how it used to be, or what you were/are familiar with? Are you stuck in your habits?
If you’re not focused on what you love, what accountability can you apply to shift you out of being stuck? You’ve got to be consistent with accountability – make it a habit!
If you discover you’re not where you want to be, simply pivot, course correct and get back on track.
