9. Lean into your creative tension – feel the fear and do it anyway
Just because you are experiencing conflict, discomfort or a challenge doesn’t mean you should avoid it or deny it. Procrastination, doing inessential activity and analysis paralysis takes a lot more time and energy than leaning in and facing the fear of the thing you want to avoid or not deal with.
Facing life’s storms and the things you fear is the quickest way to overcome them. It’s the path of least resistance even if on the surface it appears or seems to be difficult to navigate and overcome.
Remember it only seems or appears that way in your mind based on your beliefs and perceptions. Being in the tension of that temporary discomfort is the most efficient path to creating the outcome you want. Short term discomfort leads to long term gain because you’re able to put yourself back into the Creative orientation and create from this higher orientation instead of operating out of your Egoic nature.
The more often you practice this, you develop the muscle of being able to sit in the tension and not be fazed by it, which leads to spending more time in your Creative orientation and doing what you love.
10. The pathway to success and achieving your end results includes mistakes, trial and error and failure
On the way to creating your dream, your vision and what you love there will be trial and error. There will be mistakes and failures. Don’t be disheartened by this. Failure is only feedback so that you can make the course corrections to get you back on track.
The path to success includes courage, tenacity, grit and perseverance. Just keep going.
Never give up!
It’s like putting a straw through a potato. It isn’t over till the straw is all the way through the potato and out the other side. Keep yourself focused on your end result until you’re all the way through and you’ve accomplished the outcome you desire.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
When things get tough, get creative. Creators create!
11. Challenge conventions – Allow yourself to create based upon what you imagine the highest and best version of yourself can create. Don’t create based upon what you did in the past or the way others have done it previously
As you’re applying your Genius and creating, don’t just redo or recreate what you did in the past. Don’t just blithely follow what others did previously because that’s the way it’s always been done.
Really empty out, go into innocence and imagine what the highest and best version of yourself would create. What would the 2.0 or the 3.0 version of you create?
Draw a circle on a page and step into the vision of this Genius version of yourself, the 2.0 version of yourself.. Observe what’s obvious about what this version would create. What does this look like?
Take action on the wisdom, intuition and insights that come to you.
12. Don’t be complacent, always be creating, always be hungry
When you do create successes and wins as you’re applying your genius, stay hungry. Be curious, stay in awe and in wonder about what you are creating. Ask yourself what am I creating next? What else is possible? What else can I do to be of service to uplift and transform the lives of more people? Be in a place of innocence and let the magic unfold for you and let your intuition light you up. Be in the emotion of your true end result which is hugely powerful. It’s the most powerful force there is. Your creativity is one of your greatest assets. Immerse yourself in that deliciousness in that emotion of joy and excitement and create from there.
Don’t rest on your laurels and become complacent because you’ve been successful in the past.
Coca Cola sells 1.9 Billion servings of their drinks each day to over 200 countries around the world. They don’t go, “Oh we’ll use the same strategy we did when we were selling 10 a day.”
Absolutely not! They are continuing to ask questions. What can we do to be of service to bring refreshments to even more people around the world that will give them the experience of fun and joy?
13. Carpe Diem – Seize the day
Receive the opportunities that come to you and make the most of the present moment without worrying about the future.
When opportunities come your way, act on them immediately. Don’t wait because you don’t think you’re ready or you’re uncertain about the future. There is no perfect time for when you should do something. There’s no right way or perfect way of doing it. There’s no perfect moment when you’ll be ready. There is no certainty in the unknown.
You can learn and grow as you’re creating things. If your intuition gives you an insight and a directive to act upon what comes to you, follow through and actually act upon it.
Take a bold step, be audacious. Take the risk.
Commit to doing it and then Just Do It, Nike!
Go for it!
By doing this you are putting the power and energy into being a Creator and more opportunities will come your way.
Dive into the experience without expecting certainty.
14. Ask for what you want and be willing to ask for help
Even if you don’t know how to do something, there is always someone else who does. Ask for what you want and be willing to ask for help. Learn from people that have already successfully created the outcomes that you want to create.
Being mentored by great people, helps to inspire and motivate you, it opens up your awareness, increase your knowledge and augments your skill. It supports you in being the authority of your life and your destiny.
15. Do what you love and have passion for what you’re creating
Applying your Genius to create the outcomes you want, requires you to do it over and over again over a sustained period of time. Do what you love, what lights you up, what you’re passionate about because there will be times when it can be hard because you hit up against resistance. If you don’t love it and you’re not having fun doing it you’re going to give up or want to give up.
Follow your heart and create purely for the love of it!
When you’re doing what you love you, have the fortitude to persevere when things get tough.
Also by being and doing what you love, you’re in the highest vibrational emotions such as love and joy. When you show up as that love, you are giving that love, when every fiber of your being radiates that love, you’re exuding it because you’re being your heart, that ripples out as abundance into everyone that you touch. It raises everyone’s vibration. It continues on, out into the energy field because we’re all energy.
The Universe then brings that back to you 10 fold, 100 fold. It recognizes that you are being a container and of service to the wholeness, to oneness to others, to the community, society and all of humankind. It ripples out and changes the vibration of the planet.
Never underestimate the power of your heart. Never underestimate the power of love and being and doing what you love.
16. Celebrate and have fun
Celebrate your creations. Each time you complete a creation, a project or a section of a project celebrate. It is a wonderful way complete and acknowledge what you have created. It lets your subconscious know that you’re a powerful Creator and that you are ready and open to create more.
By having fun along your journey of creating it will make work seem like play and it will inspire the flow of more ideas to come to you via your Genius.
