      There’s a moment I see in every client. It usually There’s a moment I see in every client. It usually doesn’t look dramatic. It’s almost imperceptible. A pause. A decision that happens almost without them noticing. And in that moment, they either choose themselves. Or they abandon themselves again. Here’s an example from one of my clients. She didn’t think she could have what she wanted because she was unconsciously running beliefs that she wasn’t good enough and not worthy of being successful. Whenever she began going for the outcome she wanted there were all types of obstacles and distractions that got in her way, including having a “to do list” that kept growing so that she would always be stuck in doing other things before she could embark upon on what she actually wanted to create. She felt stuck, frustrated, she was always busy with no time to focus on herself so she never actually created or achieved the very thing she wanted. Because she wasn’t aware of the beliefs she was running, she didn’t notice that she was sabotaging herself with a “to do list” that was so huge and consuming it would be enough to choke a horse (that’s Aussie for: it perpetually keeps you stuck like a hamster running on a wheel going fast to nowhere.) By keeping herself trapped, she abandoned what she loved, what she truly wanted to do. The travesty was she wasn’t even aware that she was doing it. Once she realized what was going on under the hood, what had been hidden from her awareness, everything shifted. She chose herself, what she wanted and the actions she took became aligned with what she loved instead. That moment is what Discover Your Genius is built around.       Intuition is not mystical. Most people treat it li Intuition is not mystical. Most people treat it like it is something you either have or you don't. Something that arrives when the conditions are right and disappears when life shows up. But that's not what intuition is. Intuition isn't something you either have or you don't. It's inherent. Every human being is born with it and it works like a signal constantly relaying information to you. The reason most people can't access it consistently isn't because they're not intuitive enough. It's because the system they're operating from is too loud. Two years ago I went on my first shark dive in Roatan, Honduras. We got our gear ready, had our briefing from the dive master, we were going 75 feet down, about 23 meters and everyone was buzzing with excitement. Then it was my turn to jump in. The moment I hit the water, I felt a huge fear rising in my chest. My breathing became fast and shallow. My partner who was already in the water, looked at me and called out, "Hey, are you alright?" I was treading water with visions of the movie Jaws swimming around in my head. "I just need a minute!" And in that minute, instead of pushing the fear away, I stopped and acknowledged it. Yes, I was scared. And that was OK. Then I asked myself , “What do I really want? What would I love in this moment?” Beneath the fear, a signal rose up from my intuition. It was a feeling of joy, of being alive and fully present. I had an insight that I would love to be in the water with these majestic creatures, to observe them up close in their natural habitat. What a gift that would be. So I took a slow even breath. And I began my descent. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. If I had only listened to my Survival OS, “Stay safe, don't do it”, I would have missed an experience of a lifetime. That's what we work with inside Discover Your Genius. Developing your intuition.
