Fibonacci is named after an Italian Mathematician who is attributed as the person who discovered the mathematical ratio between a specific sequence of numbers that we see replicated in Nature and life around us. We see this sequence and pattern everywhere in the Universe from the way life forms and grows in a single cell amoeba to the ever-expanding Universe itself.
The Fibonacci sequence expresses the growth and proliferation of life. It is the foundational building sequence of how life and matter grows. This sequence is replicated in both living and non-living materials. It is the pattern or formula of how Nature herself creates the structural building blocks of all matter.
The sequence is as follows:
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144 etc.
Each succeeding number in the sequence comes from the addition of the 2 numbers that preceded it. E.g. the number 3 comes from 2 + 1 (which are the 2 preceding numbers before 3.)
The ratio between all these numbers is approximately 1.618 which is also called the Golden Ratio or (phi = φ). This is often considered the most beautiful number in the Universe because it can be visualized almost everywhere, from geometry to the human body itself. The Renaissance artists called this the “Divine Proportion” or the Golden Ratio.
This ratio and this sequence can even be seen in the stock market. There is a pattern or sequence known as the Elliot Wave.
The Elliott Wave theory is a form of technical analysis that looks for recurrent long-term price patterns related to persistent changes in investor sentiment and psychology.
The theory identifies impulse waves that set up a pattern and corrective waves that oppose the larger trend. (E.g. 5 waves up to progress in a rise and 3 waves to correct and retrace)
Each set of waves is nested within a larger set of waves that adhere to the same impulse or corrective pattern, which is described as a fractal approach to investing.
It’s all based on the Fibonacci relationship & sequence of numbers.

Beloved for its beauty and symbolic power, it is one of the most famous images in the world.
We see this Fibonacci sequence in our human body with 2 digits in our thumb, 3 digits in our other fingers a total of 5 fingers on each hand and the relationship of 3 joints shoulder to elbow to wrist and hip to knee to ankle. We see 2, 3 & 5 throughout the body. Also the ratio of 1.618 is seen throughout the body in the formation of the ear, the structural proportions of the face and the relationship between the fingertip to the finger, the hand from fingertip to wrist, to the elbow to the shoulder etc.
Leonardo used the Fibonacci ratio (the golden ratio) in his painting the Mona Lisa. This is regarded as the most valuable painting in the world.

We see it in classical architecture, including the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Parthenon in Greece and we see it in Nature – the spiral sequence in a Nautilus shell, the growth pattern of flowers (e.g. Sunflowers) the growth of ferns with the fiddlehead a Spiral galaxy etc.
It is everywhere.
This is how Nature creates. It’s a sustainable formula for growth and proportion.
E.g. the distance between your feet and your bellybutton and your belly button to the top of your head have a Fibonacci relationship – there’s a proportion to your growth that is the 1.618 golden ratio.
They are measurements of growth and the progression, the sustainable progression and the sustainable proportion by which Nature creates, which you actually can’t defy. You can’t defy this progression in the stock market, in the proportions of a building or in your own creations – it’s at your own peril if you defy it and you shouldn’t defy it as you’d be building upon an unsustainable structure that will inevitably collapse. Instead, it’s better to work with it and it will result in you being at your most centered, balanced and creative as well as being able to harness a natural creative energy. You get to harness Nature’s “Life Force” energy and it will propel you automatically on its trajectory.
If you attempt to defy it, you’re literally attempting to defy Nature’s life force, which will result in a Null result. It would be like attempting to swim up a waterfall instead of using the force of the fast flowing water to propel you to create hydro-electricity.
